Glad to see Primordial up there - even if I really didn't get into Redemption (I've gone back to Nameless - best metal album of the decade. Fuck the naysayers).

Didn't really recognise anything else, but there were a few artists that jumped out which I ought to investigate.

Also: Ulcerate.

Cheers for posting. These sort of lists are good for people like me who don't really keep up with new releases. First thing I picked out to listen to in here (#15) turned out to be fucking awesome.

Really good for seeing what youve missed through the year. Fuckin awesome that Ulcerate got such a mean review.

I love the way this describes the albums and has embedded tracks, for effortless listening. I only know a handful of these bands, but I'll probably listen to all of it over the next few days

say what you want about Pitchfork and their hipster attitudes, their staff know their shit, and how to write good.

this list also reminded me how out of touch I am since I got old and started working for The Man

I'd rather cirE elaborated on why it's funny.

Disma had me hooked for the first 90 seconds... then the cookie monster vocals kicked in.

#23 looks to be my #1, "Indian".

Still haven't gotten through all of these albums, but they have some pretty awesome stuff, Indian is wicked, so is Atlas Moth and SubRosa. Going to just keep that page open in a tab until I have found the majority of these albums and had a thorough listen.

Yeah it's a good group. Though my personal favourite was only and honorable mention. Blut Aus Nord - 777 Sect(s) is pretty deserving though, not so sure about the second part...

'I Like It When You Die' is the fourth album by American grindcore band Anal Cunt. The album was originally titled You're Gay, and the album cover was going to contain a mirror, but this idea was later changed
