Scott Vogel's voice is goes way better with the pace of the song and the lyrics than Dave Smalley's nasally vocal delivery.

Can you chuck up a link to that if it's on Youtube? Sounds awesome but I couldn't find it.

I like Madball's cover of Blind Justice more than the original by the Business.

hmmm.... that might be the one i said, but not the one i meant, the one on that cheesy punk compilation has a real mellow feel to it, im pretty sure it was live.
i had a talking heads 'best of' cd and each song had a comment, in the one for psycho killer, they said 'im glad we decided the version with the cello's shouldnt be the only version' or something to that effect, i assumed they meant the version i was familiar with, but its likely that they meant that one.
i havnt heard it since 1997 or something, at which point i probably didnt know what a cello was.

p.s. im trying to find it on youtube now, but ive hit bandwidth cap

Yeah, it's probabaly live. I'm pretty sure my mate has raved about that compilation once or twice, and those Virgin punk comps always have heaps of live tracks (though it doesn't say in the tracklist). Will download.

im just confused now, that sounds a hell of a lot like it, i could have sworn there was more instrumental back up, tho it was almost certainly an unplugged/acoustic version, i dunno i guess ive just listened to too many versions of that song in the last few days and id only heard two in the last 15...

that could have been it, tho it didnt have those bits where he stumbled about... basically whatever it was is on that best punk rock album ever, which does have a few other unregarded gems hidden on it, tho if it was the only 'punk' you ever heard would it confuse the shit out of you.

Havent gone through all 15 pages but has anyone mentioned Agnostic Fronts version of Iron Cross - Crucified (not so much the somethings gotta give version sounds bad) the earlier one from Liberty and Justice. original is crap. Have to agree with All Along The Watchtower by Hendrix probably the best song of all that sounds better than the original

Backed. Also the other versions that those D.C. bands did (The Untouchables and S.O.A. ('Stepping Stone Party')) are pretty mean too.

Almost like the Sex Pistols version better than the original.

A lot of bands have covered Bonzo Goes to Bitburg, and Ramones have different recordings of it, but the recent Iron Chic cover is particularly good. They are a pretty sweet band if you're into their sorta stuff:

'I Like It When You Die' is the fourth album by American grindcore band Anal Cunt. The album was originally titled You're Gay, and the album cover was going to contain a mirror, but this idea was later changed
