Now one of the (two?) bands that should probably better not be mentioned here...

'I Like It When You Die' is the fourth album by American grindcore band Anal Cunt. The album was originally titled You're Gay, and the album cover was going to contain a mirror, but this idea was later changed

Funny how Lucinda sounds terrible when she tries to cover the Rolling Stones or AC/DC, but awesome when she does her own material.

Early speed/thrash/death/black/extreme metal like Venom was definitely influenced by punk, the poor recording quaility and don't give a fuck attitude. Punks love Venom. But the metal scene took s/t/d/b/e metal into the technical realm, influenced by jazz and classical music, and arguably reached its pinnacle with this album.

As a Millennial born in '87 bar listening to dad's sabbath and metallica tapes I wasn't exposed to much metal until the late 90's, in other words I was listening to Marilyn Manson/Rammstein etc in intermediate, Found this one man band in 2000 and it introduced me to an entire black metal scene in norway, soon after I was listening to Mayhem, Burzum, Emperor, Immortal, Dimmu Borgir, Darkthrone, Satyricon, 1349, etc etc

Morgul was always underrated in my opinion, a true genius even if in the later albums he started adding industrial elements, so did alot in the scene at the time, guess we can blame Kovenant for that.
