Amazing that this was written in 1984, when transgender people were mostly hated or mocked. I guess Westerberg knew a few transgender people and when they got in relationships he thought "ok, that's cool".

Yeah, that's their first album in nearly 20 years. They've continued to tour throughout that time. Not sure how much longer though. Eric Bloom is 76.

I saw Blue Öyster Cult in 2013, just 6 songs at an indoor fest in Melbourne and didn't make it to their own concert the night before. Still pretty cool!

"heavy metal" was an obscure rock critic's term in the 70s, the bands just called it "rock n roll" ("hard rock" if pressed). The hardest/heaviest were Black Sabbath, obviously there was Led Zep, but BOC were a part of that too. Fuck it I'm not even sure what my point is. This kicks ass.
