Peavey basses

Has anyone on here played one of these cunts? (T-80):

Any good?

I also don't mind the look of this (Zodiac BXP):

I have no reason to buy a better bass at the moment. Plan on getting something decent eventually though. Any truly shitty stuff about Peaveys I should know about?

T40s are legit as balls. USA made too. Can find some deals on eBay from time to time.

Cheers cunts.

Yeah, I would definitely consider getting an SX P or Jazz bass. Not really into the look of the ATKs, even though it is quite a nice design and Ibanez.

First bass I owned was one of these, not for very long before some mudafucka broke into James T's car and nicked it:

Happened immediately after I'd cut down the headstock a bit to make it a bit smaller (probably a dumb idea but I didn't like how big it seemed) so if I ever happen to see it again I'll know if it was the same one.

I always thought the old Ibanez Musician basses looked pretty sweet, they pop up on trademe every now and then for pretty cheap:

The Aria Cardinals are fucken sweet too:

But yeah, can't go wrong with an SX P Bass.

Yeah man. Grant's Aria (I think it's a Pro II Cardinal) that he was using for Crawler is fuckin mean.

I've also had a go on a Ripper bass once or twice and from what I remember they had a fuckin nice feel. At least one of them was a good weight too (I like basses that are on the lighter side). I really like the design but I probably wouldn't go for something with such a wide body myself. That Zodiac BXP I posted at the top is pretty close to the ideal kinda shape for me.

I'm pretty fussy for someone who buys fuck all musical instruments. Then again, I'm still prefectly happy with my shitty Samick for the time being. Was cheap, it's comfortable enough, doesn't weigh much, gets a good enough sound for what I've used it for so far and it doesn't look butt-ugly.

This thread is legit.

I recorded a T40 recently and it sounded great. Those Cardinal basses are mean. If you turned the volume knob to full on my old one it would overdrive in the best way.

Berry's Ripper is one of the nicest basses ever.

So many awesome basses, such little spare money

Checked out that Ripper, was a piece. Missing waay too much stuff. You could get a minta off gbase.com for less once you'd spent money fixing that one up

Nat, holy fuck those Peaveys look so damn good. And the basses are amazing as well. Mikey from Cry Wolf has/had one, used it in Scoundrels.
