LTD 204 P bass copy

Anyone ever played one? I have only played the ESP version and know that it plays well and sounds good.

Don't care for the distressed look but I can get one for cheap over here and miss playing a fender style bass at the moment.

They're good. I've played both (ESP and LTD). LTD feels a little clunkier than the ESP, but for the money, it's a fantastic bass. Out does a lot of the cheaper Fenders.
Sounds good as too, like a P/J bass should. Always thought it was odd that they clearcoated over the the top of the "wear" haha

Fender do that on the Roadworn basses - bizarre. There was one on Gumtree here I was gonna look at but holding out to find a 70's reissue in 'Murica...

I used to bash on an SX jazz. I imagine it's less clunky than the SX? The one I have seen is priced at $499 and is next to a Squire PJ priced at $492 haha.

The clearcoat over the wear is fucking :explainittomelikeimfive:

edit: AUD$499 which is NZD$603

Only thing I liked about those roadworn Fenders is the finish looks a bit dull and fucked out - as much as I'd love a legit '72 (or whatever) Jazz I can't warrant a $3.5k purchase on something I'm gonna smash two-three notes out of at best and probably not treat it with the care that it'd deserve.

Yeah, only clunky by comparison to the ESP which is 5 times the price. Will be much nicer than an SX - granted SX basses are pretty sweet

I have one of these and love it

However I miss that passive growl. Passive bass and a Rat just doesn't get much better.

Mean. ATK was my first bass, need to get another one.
Couldn't agree more about passive into Rat. This is my main rig. P bass through a Rat (the white non boss pedal) -

I think I'm gonna have to buy it. The guy lives close by so I can have a whirl on it. Tempted to just buy both of his Tokais and sell the lesser one.

Quite a few decent looking MIJ Fenders on eBay too - some of them with free postage/insurance from Japan

I bought a demo tape off them, there's a download on a Wordpress blog somewhere, SMASH! SMASH! SMASH THEM ALL, SMASH EVERY WALL, or some shit, they're probably a lot better than that demo now though. What other band is Yuk(sp) in? Is it pisschrist?

Pisschrist ain't even still cranking despite being Europes favourite dbeat band. Kromosom is his new global dominator who are alright but bloody hammer are the fuckin shit. For some reason pisschrist and kromosom are melbournes rabble despite mega legendary Swedish cunts reppin them all the time.

Um, yep I've heard Bloody Hammer. I was saying they're faggot-ass Aussie hipster bands in the same sense that Sex Pest is a faggot-ass Auckland hipster band. I would've really liked to have got Beslan to play.

It's way too fucking clean. Like squeaky clean to the point of it being 'pop' punk.

Pisschrist or Kromosom? Are you talking about the recordings or those bands overall?

What other band is Yuk(sp) in?
I'd assume you're talking about Yeap.

The bands. Pretty much everyone has some stink shit to say about kromosom or hardcore victims it's weird. I don't mind em and I don't mind saying that I think they're overrated but I don't think they're fake because they don't smell bad and are a rehearsed live show or whatever. I don't know yeap well enough to pass judgement but a lot of hate gets directed at him for some reason too. But bloody hammer fuckin rule that's one thing for sure.
