Cool. Well I picked up the MXR for peanuts and I guess it'd be alright having a more flexible pre stage than what I'm currently using. the old school tone stack EQ on the Holden 200 head I'm using at the moment is a bit finicky at best, and I have no idea what the backline is gonna be in Europe, though I've asked for an SVT Classic... It'd be great to be able to cut some freq's after the Fuzz War if necessary and keep the EQ settings on the head relatively neutral... Will def look into the Red Box thing, Might pop down to Evans and pick his brain about it... Either way, I'll have the opportunity to try the M80 out both in rehearsal and live this weekend..

Borrowing one this weekend, if it works out well I'll probably buy one - and either way I'll let you know my thoughts on it

Found a schematic for one. Fuck they are so simple dood. Just a quad opamp and some simple components. Let me know how much you'll get a legit one for. I could probably make one of these for about $70.

When I was younger and stupider I loved the bass driver, then the more I listened the more I started to hate it. After many years I love it again. I go into a Rat first and use the ATKs tone to shape it more. It's pretty easy and gets over the Sansamps scooped sound. The M80 D.I. is woeful, so it's a waste of money in my opinion. Just so much fizz.

I would be interested in a $70 D.I. over here.

It is getting a shit tonne of use! Thanks Grant! I've been running drum mixes through it (kinda stolen off Rza but he uses a different Tech21 box).

He used a Tech 21 PSA 1 on a bunch of wu tang tracks. I like to run drum mixes through my Tech 21 bass driver.
