Yo I just saw you on basstalk asking about the Acoustic 470. GO BUY IT NOW! NOW!!!!!

Seriously though this amp rules. Go to guitar amp. Go to bass amp. I run a lot of samples through it for friends as well. The built in fuzz, reverb and trem are all really nice. Great tone shaping with the standard 3 channel eq and then a 5 band graphic with slightly odd choice of frequencies. 170w but louder than most 400w solid state amps.

So yeah I hope you got it.

What sort of a cab would be a super-sweet match for this amp?

Alex Backhouse and I are writing some stuff and he was wanting to use his 470 as a guitar amp. He just needs to buy a cab for it. I was sceptical of him using this head until I saw this thread.

Thanks Nat.

That.

Anything really. I put mine through a Marshall 4x12, single 15, or whatever else I can get my hands on.

Oh also the 470 has an 'Independent load output'

In other words it will run any cab regardless of resistance. I don't think there is a ohm rating on the amp.

One of the cabs Acoustic made for that amp was a 6x12.
