I make effects pedals to order. (Pepers' Pedals)

Wank on about your rig and how grand it sounds or just ask for advice on gear.

I have the schematic for my amplifier somewhere, and can find an even simpler one based on this bad boy

4dB boost at 2.7K from one of these make guitars just sit so perfectly in a mix.

Whipped up an Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer Clone today. Did a slight tweek on gain stage to add a little bit more gain than stock. Sounds OK through my piece o crap practice amp. Will try in on a decent amp tonight.

Next pedal to make up is a Little Angel Chorus. Neat little chorus pedal just a speed and a depth control. Pretty simple.

Could you / how much would it cost for you to make a buffered splitter? Just one input and two outputs, not switching just both outputs always on. Small as possible, no battery needed just a DC socket.

Yup I sure could. Can do as many outputs as you want. The schematic I found has three. Could do one for $40 maybe even less would have to work it out. Just uses JFETs. Also got schematics for one with blends.

What's the smallest case you could fit it in? You could leave out the third output to save room. Don't need any blending, just using it to split my signal after my overdrive, one to the amp and the other to an amp/cab sim for when I have to DI.

Real keen by the way, just need to get it as small as possible.

The smallest cases I have are 1590B which is 112mm X 60mm X 31mm. But I may be able to get a smaller case for it. Jaycar do a 51mm x 51mm x 32mm. I could do a mock up with cardboard and see if it fits.

(I realise this might be retarded)

Yup totally doable pretty simple build. Two effects in one pedal = 2 x foot switches and LEDs. I can also throw in a change over switch so you can select which way you want to cascade the effects. $120 for a double whammy effect in one box. I'll have to place an order for parts that I don't have for these builds so if you're keen let me know and I can place an order as some of the stuff comes from overseas.

Fuck yeah, keen as. I'll PM you when I'm ready to go / child support is up to date.

Working on this at the moment. It's a Methhead with switchable input and output caps to change it's tuning. My first "real" attempt at painting a case properly. Didn't heed the advice of people and drilled my holes afterwards causing one tiny little scratch. GRRRR!

The "A-B-oost"

Image

Just finished a custom A-B box with a booster on the B channel as per the client. Guy wants to run two different basses one is passive one is active just wants to be able to swap from one to the other. The booster circuit is that from a Electro Harmonix Linear Power Booster. Cool little circuit gives a very clear boost with no tonal change.

Yeah kinda it's all in the prep work. Although I've chipped this one cos I dropped something on it. Going to get a wee bake oven apparently if you bake the paint on it goes like glass.

powder coatings tough as fuck, if you don't mind what colour you could ask at a shop if they could put through a couple of enclosures with whatever colours they're already doing.

Rebote 2.5 Delay
Image

Based on the PT2399 chip. This is a rad as delay. On low settings almost reverby/echoy. Fucking love it. Boxing this up tomorrow as it may have a buyer if the guy likes it. Will make more of these as I think I want one now too.

Just finished boxing up a Rebote 2.5 delay. Sweet as pedal. Not really finished yet. Got the volume and delay pots round the wrong way and need to finish the inside wiring. Kinda did in a hurry so a dood can try it out see if he wants to buy it over a boss digital delay (blugh)
