what is this guitar?

What "pro audio" industry is that? I may actually know you

OMG, so here's how it works:

The rockshop owns two importing companies.
They bring the goods into NZ that the rockshop stocks.
These companies (which are owned by the rockshop, don't forget) then sell the items to...the rockshop. At a markup.
So, yeah, they made a full margin + $50.
It's the same scam that the power companies use, Mighty River Power sells electricity to Mercury energy at a full markup even though MRP owns Mercury.

looks more like a byrdland with two pointed cutaways than a 335 anyways.

you dunce. i started this thread because I was curious to know what the guitar is, not what it isn't. you initially seemed pretty adamant it was a 335, even enough to erroneously point out the year in which you think it was made... three pages on and multiple embarrassing posts on your part later, we're still no closer to finding out what this guitar is. now if you'd please quit posting and let more able-minded individuals discuss this further, we'd all be a lot better off.

damn, looks a hell of a lot closer than any of the aforementioned - cheers.

though I can't help but notice the cutaways seem a bit tighter on the mystery guitar in question...

yup

The rockshop fucking sucks balls even more after you work there and find all that shit out.

I think they even own the factory that make those shitty rockbags and rockcase's could be a rumour, didn't give a fuck enough to find out

gibson endorsee my ass, what because you get them for cost at the rockshop? fuck off, I got a gibson for "cost" when I worked at the rockshop too (only for "business" though otherwise I play a piece of shit for fun)

christ, I got a bit heavy handed on this one.

Still don't know what the fuck that guitar is. It shall remain one of Punkas' greatest mysteries, alongside of course "why the fuck did john_wayne_gacy even bother posting here ever?"
