Not sure where you got 7.5mm from?? 2.5mm flex is what they are. It also comes down to strand count. High End speaker cable has a Shit load more strands than standard flex. Which is more surface area inside the cable for current to travel down. There is a point where it gets ridiculous with buying cables I would sit in the middle somewhere.

3cores/cable x 2.45mm^2/core = 7.5/cable.

The norflex are 14 solid cores that add to 1.65mm^2/cable, compared with a few hundred for flex..
Still, even if the strand counts were reversed any skin effect would be swamped by the difference in cross section.

Oh so you're saying use 2 extension leads per speaker. Sure if you have the space I guess. I should get some 630mm flex cantols from work.

The funny thing is inside the amp itself it will be put together with no more than 1mm hookup wire from the poweramp stage to the posts where the speaker wire connects.

Hahaha didn't see my typo. Nice one.

I think spending big cash on those small items for your stereo is pointless. If you were to use old power cables for speaker cable and spent what you would have saved on those purple thingos for some absorption/diffusion panels you will hear a much bigger difference.

It's like how people buy expensive IEC's that still plug into your normal mains.

Scored two tiny things recently

The Orange is fantastic and sounds great mic'd up. The trem is to replace a busted Earthquaker devices trem for the time being and it is a surprising little guy. Nice range in the rate control, colour control is tame and the hard switch gets its close to the choppiness of the earthquaker pedal.

Just bought a pair of these to turn my Holden 50W combo into a bedroom beast:

Probably the last big musical investment I'll make now the leaving work final payout is dwindling.
Worth it as though, smooth creamy od where it used to be crystal clean unless deafeningly loud.

Guitarist in my band bought this Peavey the other day, its quite nice, but he kept harping on about it, and refused to turn it down to a reasonable sound level during practice, so we tag teamed it when he left the room. he got punk'ed

Awful photo but I got this Airline Eastwood 2P for 1KNZD from the states. Borrowing the KORG Volca Beats gadgetry and also not pictured is a fun little pocket operator I got for xmas made by Cheap Monday/Teenage Engineering. It's a programmable rhythm synthesizer. Much fun.

My current whip. Stringless tonight while I was replacing/changing a couple things. I'm gonna try out some chunkier strings on this thing soon and hopefully get more rark. Not my dream guitar but it's pretty fucking dope for an unexpected birthday present from a good friend. I think I'll be getting a lot of use out of this cunt.

^ Sick man! Are you playing guitar in your new band?

I bought this a few months ago now. Early '70s Musima, made in the GDR. €200. Unfortunately the fretboard is slightly splitting from the neck, so I need to get it repaired. Really happy with it otherwise.

Noice!

Yeah, I'm playing guitar. Fuck knows why, Rory and Ciara can both play better than me.
