Learning geeky/computer stuff

Postby PertHJ » Wed Jan 06, 2016 12:05 am

So I've got a fair bit of free time on my hands at the moment, what would be a sensible and/or fun thing for me to learn/where to do it for free online

like basic programming stuff or something...

Just as well, you'll probably never find any use for a foreign language judged one of the easiest for English speakers in a country you got to be fully immersed in for two years while you didn't work.

The Italian speaking comunity/people wanting to learn Italian is tiny in NZ, so yeah pretty unlikely it will come in use / use it enough to keep knowledge.

However I do know some Italian, I'm just real shit at it

Code Academy is also decent for getting the fundamentals of programming. The key thing is to actually use it once you've got the fundies. You gotta try and make something so you know where everything fucks up and what you don't know etc etc
