getting clips off nz news websites?

is this feasible does anyone know? all the add-ons i've tried only pick up any video ads but not the news clips. tried a few in both chrome and firefox.

thanks for that, just had a play around with camstudio and got something at least but need to sort out the settings/codec or something i guess as it was pretty rubbish quality. i'm not really up on all that sort of thing.
