easyas video editing tools?

Postby akaxo » Tue May 28, 2013 8:43 am

any recommendations? currently have a heap of large avi files (1-3hrs each at ~13GB per hr) that i want to be able to extract 5-10 minute highlights from and then convert those into something suitable for youtube. also want to compile the highlights into larger files for putting onto a dvd. would be useful to be able to add in credits, text at the bottom of the screen etc.

nothing flash as i'm a beginner at this shit so being user friendly is important. had a hunt around last night but didn't find anything ideal that did everything i wanted to do.

thanks.

Adobe Premiere Elements is verrry user friendly and the sky's the limit once you get comfortable. There's even a 'basic mode' for beginners which makes it more like a feature-rich version of Windows Movie Maker. It's seriously legit. If you're feeling particularly sassy after that; Adobe After Effects.
