HUGE grinding day today haha.

Got my enchantment, speech, up to 100. Well on my way with one handed and light armour too.

Pretty siked now. Using dual enchantment. Have one daedric sword with soul trap + shock and the another daedric sword with 2 high powered fire/freeze damages. I got the black star (hence the one sword with soul trap) which is great. I use it to collect human souls to power my main sword and bow.

Also thanks to Steve I've been finding elixers/potions to boost my smithing and enchantment skills for 30-60 seconds before I start making stuff. Means I can upgrade my stuff well past flawless. Siked. I have my dragonscale amour alone starting at 150 armour. Steve also mentioned wearing amour that has smithing bonuses + smith enchant + smith elixers so I'm going to try that sometime.

Have got a few shouts, but using the main shout at full strength the most.

These are weaker than daedric swords, but looker cooler (I even suspect are longer..)

So.. is this game actually accessible to non-fantasy geeks? Ha.
Like I'm not huge on RPG's but I really enjoyed Fallout 3 and like a good yarn - Am I likely to like this one too?

yes. if not straight away then it will eventually grow out you. I was iffy at first but the artwork in the trailers looked awesome enough and it's pretty similar to Fallout 3 in essence so I don't see why not.

Anyone on console run into any problems with the latest patch? Heard talk of resistances (including race-based) being broken - i.e. take full damages from all attacks.

I'm a dark elf and still relatively flame retardent, so I assume it's not hugely widespread?

Cannot finish my power words from the Grey Beards due to a bug in the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller quest. Fuck.
Is this quest part of the main storyline? I really don't want to have to restart at level 35

Xbox unfortunately and I got to this point in the quest about level 10 then have just been doing side quests / guild quests since.

Cannot seem to initiate conversation with the Grey Beard to learn the power word, reading on the net seems to point to it being a major bug with no workaround.

For ATI users, I've found a few tweaks that can improve frames massively with a little loss to some minor detail.

Drop radial blur to Med
Drop shadows to Med
Drop distant object decal level to Med
Set all distance drawing samples @ 75%

I can now run 8x AA @ super sampling with edge detect (24x)
AF 16x
full tesslation
Max all other settings
And VSync on (lol)

Getting awesome results in CFX now too.

Two daedric quests to go, then I'll be completely done with all the main/guild/daedric/civil war quests/masks.

At level 60. Playing purely archery. Archery and sneak both up to 100 is great. I have a lot of archery enchantments (on everything except my boots and armour I think) so my daedric bow does 250 damage plus 21 fire/21 frost dual enchantment. Sneak gives it a x3 damage so I can clear out rooms and one shot giants on Master, haha. Only enemy I can't stand still and hack away at are ancient dragons, everything else is fine.

Will have all xbox acheivements done by tomorrow night. Then back to battlefield 3 haha.

I keep spreading my skills to far apart. Mostly Archery and Sneak on this char, but also some one handed because enemies rape me up close. Not sure how to level up enchanting because finding shitloads of soul gems is slow as.

My enchanting, sneak and archery are all at 100. Rocking an ebony bow that causes paralysis and drain life. My helmet improves archery while the rest of my armor (all glass) all improves weakness against fire and ice. Dragons barely hurt me at all, even the strongest of them and I one hit most things

Just wrapping up the thieves guild. Yet to choose a side in the civil war or join the dark bros.

Been rocking the same glass bow forever. Want to find an ebony bow or something.... can't make one because my smithing is up to fuck all

They need to add some post civil war DLC goodness. Shit ends too abruptly with little real consequence.

I've put ~60 hours into this over the last few weeks. Need those achievements. But dawnguard was a waste of money, fuck that. Rest of the game is awesome.. downloaded some good mods too.,

I've got heaps to go. Still haven't finished the main plot, despite being on my 5th 'playthrough'. Need the achievements for clearing dungeons and finding those fucking stones and reading books, although I must be getting close. The 'Master Criminal' achievement is borderline retarded, because if you're a master criminal, then you don't get a bounty. I've hit 100 sneak and high 60's for pickpocket and lockpick without getting caught, so I imagine I won't get that achievement until I finish the game and decide to end on a killing spree. Would be better if it was like 'steal 20,000 gold without getting caught' or something
