Got two wall mounts for my monitors from PB today, only cost me $63 for both, way better than $80 each for stands. I'll chuck up a photo once I work out how to hide/tidy all the wires.

Upgraded my old magic to an HTC HD2 (yeah, it's almost a year old now too, but it's still fast as hell and damn sexy)... and I can put android on it

im not lame enuff to post a pic of my freeview box, but for $50 im pretty stoked i can both watch movies off and record on to USB, with it, and of course watch all the free channels, no static, could pay a lot more more for that sort of carry on.
no live pause, but wtf who needs that anyway.
its a vesta if anyone is looking for the same deal on trademe

I'll post some pics in the setup thread tomorrow when I get it all set up in the cabinet.

Jamo s606 speaker pack with sub 250
Onkyo TX-SR 608B
Apple TV

Apple TV is a bit of a waste of money, I'll be honest... but my music is all on iTunes, and it proved difficult and messy to stream it to my system using anything else. Airplay will be pretty cool with iPhone and iPod touch. Hopefully it gets properly hacked soon cos I really can't be fucked adding my movie collection to iTunes.

How are you finding the recording / playback? My $50 set top box is a bit of a shitter in that it only records and plays a specific type of mpeg and limits itself to something like 100 minutes of recording from memory.

il have to get back to you on recording as i havnt bothered to figure it out yet, playback has been sweet, altho on some movies it does this highly annoying skipping thing, which ruins it a bit, but it plays .avi havnt tried .flv yet tho, get back to you on that as well.

yeah, got one of the new gen ones with 3g + WiFi.
Also grabbed one of the cases with an inbuilt light, on firm recommendation of someone over here who has one. Even though they're like a third the price of the kindle itself, apparently its definitely worth it.

Special edition mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches, and a special edition Transformers Razer Deathadder. Got them for $151, pretty decent price considering the price and hassle of getting hold of a good cherry board.

Planning to pull the n52 apart, replace the keys with mechanical switches and replace the controller with the teensy. That way it'll feel much better and will act as a normal keyboard so I don't have to use drivers or anything. Assuming I can write some working code for the teensy anyway.

What colour would you make a keyboard based on a yellow transformer?

Found the colour a bit odd at first, but I like it now. And the Autobots logo is way better than the ugly Razer logo on all their other mice.

Could import your own in a non-ugly colour, dude in your sig uses one of these http://www.armygroup.com.tw/shop/goods.php?id=1680 (they do international shipping if you can work it out and want to pay for one).

yeah heaps of pros use that brand of keyboard im pretty sure, with the red keys n shit. ill probably just stick to my ChumzCorp keyboard for now, it does the trick

geneterror wrote:What colour would you make a keyboard based on a yellow transformer?

i would make it NOT based on a yellow transformer. also i dont see where it specifically says which transformer theme it is going for but okay :)

EDIT: oh yeah that filco keyboard is sweet.. for a while i was considering tryna get a keyboard without a numpad for more space but fuggit

ChumzCorp keyboard? Haven't heard of this and I have ChumzCorp in my nick on steam lol.

Obviously it's a Bumblebee theme :-P

Yeah, Filco's are good, and smaller is nice too. But I prefer this one cause they still squeeze the numpad in.

Ah lol, I used to pull the windows keys and stuff out of my old boards cause they just pissed me off and you can do ctrl+esc instead when you actually want it.

Didn't think you were hating on them :) fair enough that you don't like the colours lol. And that's a good price for a new G9x, especially from harvey norman. Hopefully it lasts better than than Razer ones too. TBH I'm not too impressed with the Razer build quality (only manage to get about 18 months out of them till they start playing up), Logitech is probably better.
