Yea I get the feeling this is all they sort of do. It's very reminiscent of the amber tinted driving glasses (blue-blockers too) which were all the rage of the 90's TV SHOP era.

yeh this is the seller, but they have no current listings
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listin ... er=3380834
they only had the one, as i initially wanted two, tho they said they could order more, i havnt filled it up yet, i suppose i should give it a try to see how it behaves, i think its actually closer to 124gb from memory.
the seller did mention to me that they had had trouble with it storing larger files like movies? this makes no sense to me, so i just ignored it, i havnt actually used it for that yet so i dunno how it performs.
they also stated that the arent sure if its really waterproof, well ive tested that much, it definitely is, when i first got it i was showing my mate and he expressed doubt that it was, so i dropped it in my bourbon and left it there til i drank it all, nothing wrong with it, he was sure it would be fucked haha.
dunno why it wouldnt be waterproof really, as long as the terminals are dry the rest of the unit is completely sealed.

yup, that will be my last ditch effort, since it could use being in NTFS anyway.
when i format will it automatically find the discs capacity, or do i need to specify that myself?

i actually think the guy seemed honest, and suspect that he was ripped off himself, but i am way too trusting and have been ripped off more times than danny boy, so i will play the angry customer card if this doesnt work out.

the last shit like this i bought was from a company called 'dodgy bastards' and they were great, if this doesnt turn out ok, il hit them up for some more teeny usb cards.

i havnt formatted it yet, and i will do so, but i sent the seller an email appraising him of the situation and saying i want my money back.
i feel kinda bad for him cos i dont think he intended to fuck me.

heres his reply to my request for two(the auction was for one)

Congratulations for winning my auction!

I do not have two of the particular model at the moment, however I do have the other two models (also 128GB) if you would like one of them. I have however had mixed feelings about these drives as my friend who also bought one claimed he had problems copying larger files onto his - it was not the same model but it was the same size and from the same supplier so I am not sure if it was a one off problem or not - but you may wish to try one out for a while and I would be happy to order a second drive of the same model for you, if the you are happy with the one you purchased.

Kind regards,

Alex

kinda dont think a scammer would have given me that info.
