it works fine, Im just undecided with how im going to set it up as a media server (def needs core2duo upgrade)

Yo Ruff I got 2 x 6.5's running off a 400w and a 12" running off a 1200w (used to have 2 x 12's).. got 2 component 6 inchs in the front that are unplugged cause if I plug them in (off the 400w) the system itself wont even run.

All my shit is installed real rugged cause I never had $$ back in the day for the install fee so did it myself heh.

Ever wanna do it properly man hit me up.

As far as your Media server goes if you are streaming to devices like your PS3 then a wired gigabit ethernet to your PS3 will be more than enough if your storage drives are 16mb cache minimum SATA stuff.

If you are actually playing stuff (HD) off the server then pickup a GFX card with H.264 decoding / video decoding / encoding - the CPU will never be touched. ATI produce some good cards with HDMI out that don't heat up / make noise or scull the power.

I need more figures or plushes or something so I can surround my computer properly.

Ignore the shitty creative speaker, I don't use speakers at the moment because I can't afford good ones. Got a Logitech Z2300 set to try as well, but it's sitting in the corner unused because I can't turn the bass down enough. Also have a projector (needs a new bulb at the moment, gonna order one once I get paid) and downstairs is the HTPC+HDTV.

^ hey brinn, source on that amp(?) you have on the left?

Also Kramzubg needs to post a pic of his lounge, with the ridiculous amount of consoles/screens there.

I stopped buying stuff because I have nowhere to put it. I really need to move out. :/

It's a SinglePower PPX3 Headphone amp, you can use them as pre-amps too if you get the outputs put in, I got it for a reasonable price on trademe (I think around $480).

Watching porn and drinking sake or beer on the left there?

I need to get a better keyboard, this HP one seems to work and last pretty well though. Is that a Razer or Logitech one?

not porn, just one of my desktops (computer cycles through a few, which is funny when my boss shows up in my room)
Also not beer (Chilled water in a clay beer-jug from that La Trappe stuff)
Also not razer or logitec, its a Saitec Cyborg,

so wait, you have a big box just to power headphones? I havnt seen a setup like that before, I've just been looking for something similar to that but to replace my transistor pre-amp that my turntable runs through :D

Yup, just for my headphones :D
Not sure it would be good as a turntable phono stage though.
Maybe have a look on trademe or something, might take a while for something to show up. You'll want a MM or MC one depending what type of cartidge you use (probably MM?).

Yeah, looked like either a clay sake or beer jug - my sake and whisky got moved off my desk cause I ran out of room.
Is it a decent keyboard? Can't really decide what I want.

hm research required.

its pretty good, takes a lot of abuse and has a pretty deep keypress, also has a shitload of macro buttons that I never use, and little switch for game mode (different lighting settings, ability to have WASD and arrowkeys lit differently, disables the fucking windows button etc) but for general use, i'd recommend some of the razer ones. Just go to computerlounge or something and have a play on theirs.

Haha, pretty much. Got it all hooked up with Syngery+ and I worked out how to arrange it so the mouse moves between the screens properly (was a bit odd with the laptop being on one side and the monitor connected to it on the other). Now I have to get used to multi-tasking with this much space :D

only problem is trying to live without it.
Flew my computer up to wellington this weekend. Airlines bitched about the weight (~30kg)
Only have one monitor... so frustrating.
