Was thinking that a spy/assassin/espionage based RPG game set in a high-fantasy setting would be so dope.

That would be pretty cool, i'd be keen to play a RPG based soley on a rogueish class. Real Dark/High-Fantasy.

Yeah imagine fireballs and muskets and daggers meets Bourne Identitiy/Mission Impossible minus the tech plus extra guile?

Disguises, Identity theft, stealing transit papers from other people, waylaying other spies, burning the messages you get from dead drops, covering your tracks, greasing palms.

SOOOOO many good things can come out of this idea

not quite "high fantasy", but that's sounding a bit like building more RPG elements into thief or assassin's creed.. could pay to check those out?

Assassins Creed is an action game rather than RPG. Hopefully the 2nd one is better. I enjoyed the first, but I was seriously hoping for a bit more Hitman style puzzle solving/open endedness as far as the assasinations went. Thief is definitely a lot closer to what you're talking about. Starts off pretty straight up medieval but it gets all fantastical on its ass midway through

I'm so looking forward to Skate 2. My flatmates banned me from the PS3 cause I'd play skate for several hours straight and monopolize the bastard. Kinda sad really...

I really really enjoyed it cause it reminded me a lot of actual skating. Not exactly the same of course and it did get a little repetitive but I never got sick of nailing kickflip to tail slides down stair rails that actually looked good unlike Tony Hawk games.
Plus seeing how many bones you could break off a real big jump was mean.

Definitely worth renting or if you see if for $30-40.

Tried playing BG1 again, got to about the cloakwood mines and thought that it seemed like a repeat of the nashkel mines and gave up. Enjoyed it for a while it's pretty boring untill your finish the Nashkell mines part, then you gain alot of freedom and can basically do what you want for a while which is pretty sweet.

Doesn't have shit on its sequal though.

Thief series is milestone in gaming. What would stealth based games be without thief

a mix of tenchu and metal gear solid? oh wait.... :D

but was definitely ground breaking, wouldn't have any of the splinter cell clones or stealth-based levels in fps

tenchu is the grand daddy.. fuck I remember waiting upto 20mins for the perfect moment to grand master each level and shit.

Metal Gear Solid is pretty insane too.. but just lacks the ninja stz that makes sneaking around so enjoyable.

Would like to see a game about offense/defense. IE ninja assassination vs shinobi intelligence networks.

Hells yeah, an assasins game thats not all about assasination. Ninja based would be fucking dope. Something set in that era when japan is just about to become a gunpowder power and samurai's are in decline. Fuck that would be an awesome game. Must have DISGUISES
