Re: Digsby
I got a few connection error messages yesterday but it's all working sweet now.
Msn messenger at home has been a real bitch lately though.

Re: Digsby
Digsby is way too much of an all-in-one procrastination centre. thankfully it crapped out and wouldn't load any more. saved my productivity somewhat

Re: Digsby
Finally got this... way the fuck better response times in the couple of IM programs I run at work.

Re: Digsby
i wonder how they came up with such a good name for their application?
i'm betting on owner finds prehistoric bee preserved in amber whilst digging in the mines.
possibly looking for a Dugtrio type pokemon but at this stage I can't really say

I used Trillian for a long time, but gave Digsby a hoon for a while. Digsby's interface was too laggy on my PC though. I'd right click the tray icon and it would take 5-10 seconds for the menu to appear.
Trying Trillian Astra for the first time now, awesome so far.

that's deep.
The year, or the film? My PC's from 2003, so it's not far off.
Digsby reminds me of like... Pee-wee Herman or something.

Digsby seems to be getting laggier and laggier with each update. Don't think I'll bother with it... even the IM app on my phone is better.

seriously. even MSN Messenger runs better than Digsby for me. Digsby fair clunks along if there's more than a couple of chat windows open at once

what the fuck? I'm not even trying to be an asshole. This thread is about this app. This is my recent experience with Digsby. It ran better back a couple of years ago.

Re: Digsby
Nah it's not that. Not sure what it is though. It seems to have a cry when I have Photoshop and Flash running which 90% of the time... I've had to forcequit it a few times to stop it from totally grinding my system to a halt.
If it works for you, that's good, but jesus christ, can we (ie Andrew_TA) not take it personally every time someone suggests something other people on here likes isn't necessarily the best thing ever? You are not your IM app
(I'm still running Digsby... it's just not THAT amazing)

It sounds like Digsby need an older computer to test on and find out how laggy their program is. Windows Live Messenger and Trillian Astra run just fine on older PCs.
