Had a couple of small plants in our garden that I thought might be chillies. They were being strangled by ivy and well under watered, and looked pretty well gone but after getting rid of the ivy and giving them regular water they both look much healthier.

One of them got flowers fairly late in the season (I think?), and most of the chillies that have grown are really small (biggest one is about an inch long), and only one or two are just turning red now.

A small one that had started to turn red fell off in the wind so I had a taste - the tiniest bit on my tongue seemed pretty hot.

Any ideas what type they might be?

My garden is a blank right now. Even if this season is a write off, at least I don't have to move for the conceivable future. MY garden! :)

Fatal words. The relationship took a dive and here I am in Glenorchy, working on several hectares of organic gardens and a food forest. The gardens are not strictly mine, they are this crazy eco retreat's. I'll post pics as the season warms up.
