Pan fried dumplings!

My usual is the chili oil chicken but I'm gonna have to start getting something else.

The Taiwanese style fried pork (I think it is?) is so fucking good. I always end up eating my friends every time he gets that.

Steam bread with bbq pork and pickle.
Tawainese style rice with crispy chicken.
Flat rice noodles with chicken.
Banana sago.

This place has gone downhill recently though, I don't think the new owners are as onto it as the last people.

Yeah new owners...it's called 'Sunflower' now. Food quality has gone down slightly and they have trouble taking your order correctly or bringing it out on time....not terrible, just not as good as it used to be. They're also closed on Sunday now...so it's only open Mon - Sat.

Ahh yes...pan fried dumplings and wontons rule. Steamed pork buns are pretty good too. Not a huge fan of the chicken nugs...taste like chemicals.

Haven't been there for a few good months, though I usually dig the curry rice and/or spring rolls. Had some pretty rank meals there but more so good meals.

Haven't been there for about, ooh, two days. The mapo tofu rules, as do the Taiwanese style dishes. And sharing expensive menu stuff...damn, the pepper tofu, the sweet'n'sour, the lemon and orange chicken, and the smoked duck with vege shred.

The new owners...I reckon they're a bit more onto it, business-wise. Food seems just the same, but shit just seems more organised. I spoke to them, and the couple who used to run it worked with them for a month, training the new staff. The one lady who seems confused by every damn order ever started working with the old owners...

It might be a timing thing though...the people working at lunch rule now, but dinner...less so, I guess.

Taiwanese style fried pork, fried won tons, bbq pork fried rice, and the hot sour soup is great and only $4.50 or something. Also one of the generic beef with plain rice ones. I haven't tried any of the more expensive menu yet.

Anyone tried any of their steamboat stuff?

# 26 - curry rice

gripe is that they often run out of it by 7pm
good part was that the lady knew my standing order and i'd walk in and she'd say 'okay, number 26'
