But is it fried in the same thing everything else is?
And would you trust the people who work there to not fuck around with it and giggle as you take a bite?

but would you order it going "i'd like the vegetarian burger, but i'm a vegan, so could you please remove all animal products and make it vegan and put it in a wrap with no mayo? because i'm a vegan."

or would you order it and say "can i have the vege patty in a wrap with no mayo"

because i doubt the less innocous one would trigger the "they're vegan! let's fuck with them" response quite so readily..

One of the reasons I haven't been to KFC since I was 11 certainly is the vegetarian/vegan diet thing, but mostly cause its shit, unhygienic and real fucking unhealthy, not to mention the animal rights thing and workers pay issues etc etc. Why are PETA pushing this? never liked em before, but them spending time and energy on this makes me trust em less.

kfc canada recently made an agreement / ruling in favour of having the chickens be unconscious before killing, or something like that, so basically they dont suffer nearly as much, so peta and kfc canada are now buddies.
kfc usa is still petas enemies cos they dont, dont give a fuck, and they wont, ever give a fuck, until you, you give a fuck about me, and my generation

They pull similar shit all the time. I know a dude who did an internship there; staff were expected to make a show of eating BK vegetarian burgers. They're a complete new welfarist group now...

Vegan Kfc Review:

Burger - basically just a vege / garden patty with the rest of the usual condiments. not bad.

Vege Strips - basically bigger versions of the vege nuggets georgie pie used to sell. pretty mean as

they should at least use their secret seasoning on the nuggets...but theres probably all sorts of stuff there thats not strictly vegan, or vegetarian or even edible.

Email StreetTeam@peta2.com once you've tried the vegan chicken at KFC. You'll get 1,000 points just for that. Snap a pic of yourself or your friends eating it, and you'll get 2,000 points total. Sweet!

What a fucking sell-out.

I hate those self-righeous assholes even more now.

hmm. i know where you're coming from craig as in its lame as to become friends with a former enemy.. but the other way to look at it is that its providing more people with alternatives to meat and showing people that food doesnt have to be 'weird' to be vegetarian.. and if its at a major fast food restaurant theres a big convenience factor.
