Non-leather dress shoes in NZ?

Postby Adamov » Tue Dec 11, 2007 4:48 pm

So, I need to buy some new shoes for a formal work place. Is it possible to get good quality dress shoes in NZ that aren't made of leather? If so, where would one find them?

I know there are UK and American sites that stock them, but I would prefer not to buy shoes online.

Farmers.

But they're not the best quality, and tend to wear out really fast. Only $30 or $40 though....

Yea I've seen some cheap ones at places like farmers. Would prefer better quality and better looking shoes but I'll check out farmers if I cant find any.

Cheers.

If you're in AK the SAFE shop in St Kev's arcade, off K Rd, used to sell a whole stack of veggie leather gear. Not sure if they still do but it could be worth a look in.

SAFE shop is decent, though they only stock Vegan Wares stuff, and I reckon you can get better shoes online. It'd be great if they started importing Vegetarian Shoes from the UK etc though.

I don't know what size you are, but I have a pair of vegetarian shoes on sale. I've posted a new topic on this forum, if you're interested? Good luck in your search!
