No but I would like a good Taro recipe. There used to be this chinese vege restaurant in Otahuhu that had taro rolls - they were super yummy, every time I was in AK I'd make sure I 'd get out there and eat a whole bunch. They were deep fried and wrapped in nori. Don't know of anywhere else that does them except this place in Dunedin, but they weren't as good.

Shit don't even know if it is going still, it was an asian vege place on the main drag, I was last in Dunedin in early 2002 - hardly ever get down your way.

Oh right if it was a supermarket type place then it's long gone.

Another just opened up by my house a few weeks ago though so I'll try in there.

There's a similar kind of thing here called "yamaiomo" or "mountain potato", that's really good shallow fried and wrapped in nori with a little salt. Very nice. A bit of squeezed lime or lemon juice would go well too, along with a dozen beer or so to wash it down.
