Wellington Lunch.

Postby Samuel. K » Sat Feb 17, 2007 2:43 am

This has probably been posted somewhere allready, and if it has, please link me 8O

I'm pretty new to the vegetarian thing. I'm just trying to find more places to eat during my lunch breaks. I work at the top of Cuba (by Real Groovy). Give me some options? Aunty Mena's is all, not open n' junk.

homestead pies rock. some are really good, some are average, so if you get a shit one just try another one the next day - tempeh pie and satay pie are the best, I reckon.

If you're veg, not vegan, then Satay Kingdom in left bank is reasonably cheap (although they just put their prices up a bit) but really fucking oily. Offbeat Originals (also in left bank) do a tofu burger which I havent tried but have heard good things about.

Yeah Fidel's is kinda over rated, although I had a nice tofu bun there not too long ago.

i'm quite liking holy cow in kelburn at the moment, it's delicious

had mena's last night, there was no bbq gluten in my nasi goreng, it was way saltier and smaller than usual, and they gave us the satay sticks after our mains.

i miss tony and mena

Mena's is open for dinner only, closed during the day :(

That Indian place next to Star Mart on corner of Cuba and Ghuznee is good for lunch, not too expensive and some yummy veg*n choices :)
