Went to countdown at westgate last night, the dumpster was full to the brim with fresh fruit and veg. Planning a midnight mission with a couple people. PM me if you wanna come.

dont park by the dumpster. the security at westgate are way too fast if they see a vehicle around the bins.
if you do get caught (which is bound to happen sometime at westgate) just walk away from the guards (and take whatever you've got with you. as long as you leave straightaway they won't do anything

I think we were going to go on Sunday, that's when my daughter is at her dad's place. My friend and I were going to watch a couple of dvds before we go out.

Cheers Scott, will keep that in mind.

Hiya,

I am a television journalist based in Wellington, and we are currently looking into doing a story about dumpster diving, and the waste that it highlights. If anyone is interested, as we are quite keen to get this story done this week, my number is 027 426 9976, or email at kimberleyvinnell@gmail.com.

Do a story on old faggots longboarding, with heaps of sped up cloud sequences.

Oh great, thanks anyway.

Not that its about massive inequalities, about a lack of understanding, about these masses of waste being unknown to those in the mainstream who can really make a difference, about good food being thrown away when many people are starving.

No thats great, keep eating the free food.

But, if anyone changes their mind, I would love to hear from you asap.

weird, second 'request' today to be interviewed about dumpster diving.

kim, i think the trouble is noone wants to own up to doing something semi-illegal in a publication / on tv. that kind of attention is what can get bins locked and alert managers of supermarkets to the fact that some of us are getting hundreds of dollars of free food a week off them.
that and no-one wants to endanger / share their food supply with all and sundry

they already have doco's about it in other countries.. I dont see why replacing those with NZ locations (and dumpster spots) would make it any more relevant.
Although it would be pretty sweet to get interviewed, with the whole 'blurred face and distorted voice' thing going down.
