Postby fromfirst_tolast83 » Mon Jul 18, 2005 10:15 pm

Just got back from seeing the new greg araki film Mysterious Skin!
wow!! was wondering if anyone else saw it! was amazing!

for those of u who did not catch it its basically bout these two 8-year old boys who were sexually abused by there baseball coach, and re-unite ten years later, one is now a gay hustler, and the other believes he's been abducted by aliens!

Joseph Gordan-Levitt (third rock from the sun) is amazing!

Should come to DVD, but worth checking out!

Greg Araki's film Mysterious Skin is without a doubt his greatest film to date, His earlier flick The Doom Generation had nothing on greg's latest number.
The twist at the end of his latest flick is disturbing on so many levels.
When i viewed this as part of the last Film Festival here in auckland, a lot of people choose to walk out, i love that shit. Greg never makes films to just entertain, he chooses to dredge out depravity in a way that is pure art!
When alot of people walk out, im encouraged to take that as a sign that Araki's love of offending audiences is pure gold!
Spur-hump heyho let's go!!!

some family group in the AU were trying to get this banned on the grounds that paedophiles would watch this movie to learn how to seduce young boys.

thats all the input i have so far, but from what i hear its a good movie.
‹Rob Anybody› yeh that is an implied threat... an almost threat, god you need to research what a threat is you spinless waterballon man
