I still get enough low level entertainment out of this to be happy to contribute.

Agree with Dead Kid, those hosting prices sound a bit cooked.

Re: Solomon islands tell Taiwan "chur nah bo"

They're still pretty big. It was dark when we saw them so no photos really came out but they'd be above human head height.

I also forgot, the thing I liked least was the leeches. Because we were doing lots of jungle stuff we had to deal with them a few times. I fucking hate them.

Re: Solomon islands tell Taiwan "chur nah bo"

Yeah man I loved it. We hired a local as a guide who was a mate of a mate and that definitely made everything nice and cruisey and he sussed out the best things for us to do. I enjoyed not being on the tourist groups but still getting to see lots of stuff. I wish I had a taken a better camera with m...

I spent a couple of weeks tripping around Maylasian Borneo. It was really cool. They don't like mainlanders much.

I read this after I went to Singapore about 5 years ago but it still rings 100% true. Singapore sucks.

Re: Solomon islands tell Taiwan "chur nah bo"

I went to Taiwan once on a layover. My only other experience in Asia was Thailand so I stupidly assumed it would be like that. It wasn't. I was travelling by myself for the first time and hopelessly out of my depth. I thought I could wing it by only speaking English. One of the joys of travelling is...

It will be interesting comparing the Infection rates between Australia and New Zealand in a fee weeks. Scot Morrison has been copying Cindy from the get go, but his interpretation of lockdown is a far cry from what Aoteroa is experiencing. Pretty much neck and neck at the moment on a per capita bas...

The most intriguing thing about this thread is that Mike Puke returned 8 years later to delete all of his comments. Is he pivoting towards a carrerr in politics or something? Otherwise why else would you care? http://forums.punkas.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=55953&start=30 Also, can confirm that...

I think I saw them play an acoustic set (?) once in Auckland. That venue on the corner of Great North Road and Ponsonby Road.
