Some uploads say 1969 for Crank but either way this is a great one that didn't surface until the 90s, as was the case with many a recording:

RIP Rachid Taha. One of my sister's favourite musicians but I don't mind a bit either.

Well, not until you've reached the craft beer snob stage. I just bought a 6 pack of Coopers and it was $17. Could've got it slightly cheaper if I'd bothered to walk down a small hill and back up though. :baton:

Ye, just had to link my favourite Pentagram face melter as it's one of their demos from the 70s. Burke's voice took me to another world when I first heard Breadfan and started listening to Budgie, almost a shame to get used to it. I've seen both bands live. :calavcalav: Another favourite of mine is ...

After finding the slow burners on Jimmy Witherspoon's album Evenin' Blues I've been looking for more 60s albums with a similar mood. Arbee Stidham - Tired of Wandering fits the bill. Not sure if singles could provide such a time:

Carts of Darkness (2008)

My discovery for today is Barbara Dane's album On My Way. A bit of a mixed bag of genres, but there's some bluesy stuff on it:

White of the Eye (1987)

A cult film set in a US desert town that isn't a drag. Just the right amount of crazy on a seemingly normal backdrop. Controversial due to the serial killings with a couple of shots from first-person perspective I guess, as apparently they cut a bit of good stuff out of it.

Re: punkas dream journal.

Was just re-reading some of my dreams I'd typed up from circa 2007-2011. These are quite buzzy: In one dream I went to the moon, or at least a moon. This moon had rivers on it, and they had colourful bits in them that looked like marshmallow pieces from a breakfast cereal. I was pinpointing location...

Just watched Equinox (1992). Bit of double trouble for this thread as both Lara Flynn Boyle and Marisa Tomei are in it, although Marisa's role is minor. It was ok.

The Professionals aren't really my thing, but 'All The Way' is a great song. Didn't mention The Runaways as they're a hard rock/'76/whatever band, but they smashed the Jones & Cook tune Black Leather. Easily the best track on their final album (and possibly the only one worth hearing): https://w...

Lol sup bruce, implying Venom were behind the times by a couple of years? 1. The Clash - not hugely fussed on their debut, but they're the band from the timeframe that went on to record some of the best tunes 2. X-Ray Spex - the best (or at least one of the best) '77 singles, followed up with my fav...
