Re: punkas dream journal.

My dreams have been more abstract than describable lately, but I recently had one about looking around a shop with my girlfriend and trying to remind her of a mr sterile assembly gig we saw a year ago. The dream details were almost all made-up nonsense (support bands, venue, having dinner beforehand...

Re: The Trivial Irritations Thread

Not being able to move back to Auckland until early next year. Apartment building repairs were supposed to take about 5 months for any given floor but at this stage it's looking more like 8 or 9 months for me due to delays and extra issues found. Not surprising I guess.

Re: Selling out of punk

So some of you arent even punks, and never were, and the rest have sold out, got good jobs listen to Billy Joel and 'retired' from punkdom. Does anyone know of any real punk sites?? Y'all sound like a bunch of sad ass losers. What do you do to avoid selling out of neo-Nazism? https://i.imgur.com/gp...

Re: What have you recently watched?

It was a bit slow but I started to appreciate slow films at some point. Eg. I was surprised I found something to like about Sunshine State, which isn't 3 hours long but sure feels like it. :baton: Although something wrong's when I was checking the time 2 hours into a movie like The Hobbit: The Desol...

Re: What have you recently watched?

I watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I liked the slow burning part of it but Tarantino's 'alternate history' irks me. It's as if his thing now is just lifting scenarios from the past and bashing adolescent fantasies into them. I found the ending jarring and difficult to process because it deviat...

Re: some bands you wish you could've seen live.

Black Sabbath (now that Ozzy's suing Tony, the chance of them ever sharing the stage again is slim to none) Sex Pistols (they had a reunion tour just last year, there's still hope) Led Zeppelin (even a reunion would still be awesome) The Doors The Runaways Diamond Head (w/ Sean Harris) Plasmatics T...

Well it did take nearly 6 years to come out. I've been brushing up on 2015 films and it might be my favourite of that year as there's not much competition from what I've seen.

Re: NWA Film

I just watched this and thought it was pretty good. Some funny stuff like when they're sitting there listening to each other's diss tracks. Bit weird that they depicted it as if Eazy-E was going broke. Didn't know about Dre's fuckwittery but I do now that I've read up on inaccuracies.

That's what attracts people to her videos and makes them so funny. She's most definitely a comedian though. :D

Re: Selling out of punk

I can't sell out of punk if I was never one in the first place. https://i.imgur.com/yR5IPTW.gif I'm more just a music-listening geek. As a teen I used to sink a doz at the occasional party and yet did almost nothing stupid. I ruined my tolerance at 21 when I was up in Auckland to see Motörhead and t...

Probably the state of hibernation he went into during the first ban. Good to know he enjoys it so much.

He's been banned. Twice even. As soon as his first ban ran out, he came back with this nonsense, so he learned nothing. The tribe has spoken and hopefully he won't be back!

Reminds me that a workmate tried to get me interested in Sins of a Solar Empire a few years back. No chance.

Re: punkas dream journal.

I dreamt I was playing casual soccer, somehow both as a goalie and a regular player. Instead of a ball we were using a scrunched up piece of paper. I scored a couple of goals and saved a few. The goal opening was made narrow when I was goalie to make it easier. I was having trouble sending the 'ball...

^Wouldn't mind hearing those vocals in old school-style death metal I guess. Though I'm far more aroused by this performance from Karyn Crisis I posted in the thread previously:
