Re: things that are good

Coffee is the main reason I hope civilisation doesn't fall while I am still around. I really don't want to become the warrior of the wasteland, roaming looking for packets of ground beans, then the better freeze-dried stuff, until finally, many years later, a withered hag, I find myself in an abando...

Nah, I haven't sold out after all, I just resigned from my job to go work in Southern Fiordland again as head porridge maker. That is punk as fuck I reckon :)

Last night I drempt of ginkoes. A grouping of them in a public planting.
I only remembered halfway through having a conversation about street trees in suburban developments at work today. It was very off putting.

Getting offered the opportunity to manage a remote lodge in Fiordland for the next seven months, and taking it, and handing in my resignation from my Parks & Rec job :)

Re: punkas dream journal.

I woke up from A nightmare at 1.30 this morning. I was in a house at night- it was kind of 70's modern- big windows with no curtains, different outbuidings joined by covered terraces and walkways. I was trying to hide two small children from their father who was a werewolf. He was after one of the i...

Over a month later: post viral bronchial spasm (like asthma but with coughing til you throw up) and oh hai, fucking hayfever season! This plant scientist needs to go somewhere with no pollen.
Antarctica or a tropical desert island would be fine.

Re: punkas dream journal.

Dreamed the other night that I was part of a group of people having a conversation in sign language. In it I was a fluent signer. When I first woke up I felt like I could remember and understand everything. I am hoping this means my brain knows more sign language than I think it does after 6 weeks o...

Re: some bands you wish you could've seen live.

Great thread to resuscitate!
I never got to see Motorhead. :(
Plasmatics
The Birthday Party
Twitch era Ministry
Front 242 (are they still going?)
The Cramps
The Famines
Stone Roses
The Divynyls

I also have a list of bands I am willing to drop everything for to see. Might have to do a thread for that

Re: Selling out of punk

I think the pinnacle of my selling out, to my 20 year old self anyway, would be that I now drive a car. I'm not sure being a low end public servant counts- I would have been more disappointed if I'd become corporate scum. Mostly I think my 20 year old self would be impressed that I had got to 40, ha...

Viking burger from Local 88 chippy in Ravensborne. May have gutbombed myself. A bit too much mayo and chipotle', otherwise great.
