Re: Good and Bad Fish n Chips
Last night I had a sole burger from the bottom chippie in Port Chalmers. The battered sole was almost three times the size of the white burger buns. An amazing piece of fish, but ultimately there was not enough tartare and lettuce to go with it.

Re: Post Apocalyptic or Dystopian films
Recently watched: post-apocalyptic Aussie film Spirits of the Air, Gremlins of the Clouds. Pretty fucking cool for just a trio of absurd characters in the desert. A bit reminiscent of Arizona Dream given it involves trying to build a flying machine, but it predates that. https://m.media-amazon.com/...

Re: Appeal to Save Forest Sanctuary
Is there a programme in place undertaking weeding of invasive plant species and trapping to control the introduced mammalian predators? These will be devastating the native plant, bird, reptile and invertebrate life onsite. I don't have any money to donate, but could help design a control programme ...

The tramping lodge I work at reopened labour weekend (Oh the irony of working a 17 hour day on a holiday celebrating workers rights to an eight hour day- maybe it should be a commemoration?) with full bookings. All NZers and NZ residents, and everyone is stoked to be there, but I have a new awarenes...

Re: punkas dream journal.
Early this morning I dreamt that I was standing on a steep gravel beach (kind of like the beach at Napier) looking back towards a little beach settlement. There were seven or eight cribs sitting in bush below a big cliff face. There had been a bit of a collapse off the cliff and a digger was clearin...

That is a vast amount of effort to go into for a Beavis and Butthead level of lyric interpretation.
I'm going to hope it came about as a result of lockdown.

I will always be a fan of cock n balls art, especially in areas that are being gentrified.

Re: punkas dream journal.
I've been periodically having a couple of nights of intense dreams, followed by nothing for days. Most of them are variations on the "I've forgotten something important" type anxiety dreams.

Re: What´s for eats?
Grated potato and squeezed the excess liquid out, added grated cheese, cumin and chopped greens and herbs. Fried up some onion and garlic and mixed that through too. Added a couple of tablespoons of flour and mixed it through, then an egg. Chucked it all in a heavy cast iron pan and put on a low hea...

I've sold my house and am out in a couple of weeks, putting my life in storage and heading to work in Fiordland for six months. Working my way through my freezer contents. So I had steak and stirfried veges for breakfast this morning. Should see me right for a day of skip loading.

I remember takeaway dim sims being really good, in that 1am I cannot identify what the filling is kind of way. I would buy some for nostalgia purposes if I was back in Australia and had the opportunity.
