Re: I'm making/cloning effects pedals

Could you / how much would it cost for you to make a buffered splitter? Just one input and two outputs, not switching just both outputs always on. Small as possible, no battery needed just a DC socket. Yup I sure could. Can do as many outputs as you want. The schematic I found has three. Could do o...

Re: Elevoria - Demo video

Song is good but the composition is lacking, needs a different structure. Everything was structured ok up until after the solo. get rid of riff at 4min to 4.40. This is a different song all together, no point ramming it in there, it doesnt work, it loses all momentum. 4.40 is awesome but REALLY sho...

FS: Death By Audio Fuzz War $170

Cool fuzz pedal, perhaps not quite as high gain as some others but you can run the output really hot to slam the front of your amp. Fair wide range of sounds on the tone knob but it has a nice thick low end without being as swampy or boomy as a big muff which is cool for bass because it has more def...

Re: Bass DI (*sigh*)

Couldn't you just get a Red Box DI (or similar) and take the signal from your speaker out? You'll just need to pack 2 speaker cables. Correct me if i'm wrong? I'm about to get one since my bass head doesn't have a DI out. And my tone is usually poo's direct from my pedalboard, I use mostly amp dist...

Re: Bass DI (*sigh*)

I've used my Fuzz War (and my nasty Fuzz Face clone) into the Leeds and it was fine. Would have no hesitation about using that live. Those $300 power supplies are stupid (unless you need multi voltage or have picky pedals that need to be isolated). The same people buying them probably use rackmount ...

Re: Bass DI (*sigh*)

I realized a while back that unless I'm in the headlining band I really can't demand a mic on my amp, so I needed to find the best way to get that kind of tone with a DI. Seems silly to do all this when I can shove an sm57 in front of the cab and get the exact sound I want... I use: Bass > Tuner > O...

Re: BORIS Australian tour in March!

Rad show in Wellington last night. Couldn't find any info as to set times so I bowled up just after 10 thinking I would just catch the end of the support band, but Boris were already on and had apparently been playing for 30 mins already. Moral of the story is get there early.

Re: giz a bass advice ay

While I don't really like any active basses I would definately avoid getting a cheap active bass. Why don't you like them? Aside from most looking wang, they sound too hyped up, hifi and characterless. Plus I generally don't like how they interact with overdrive pedals. I've owned and played a lot ...

Re: giz a bass advice ay

You probably won't get a Mexican Fender for that much, but I know someone selling a pretty nice MIM Jazz that he probably wants $700 for. While I don't really like any active basses I would definately avoid getting a cheap active bass. Play a bunch of SX and Squire basses and buy one that feels good...

Wanted: Cheap but semi decent hats and ride

Anyone got some semi decent cymbals (that aren't cracked) they want to sell?

After some hats and a ride, but maybe even a crash since I want a dryer ride sound rather than lots of ping.

Re: I'm making/cloning effects pedals

What's the smallest case you could fit it in? You could leave out the third output to save room. Don't need any blending, just using it to split my signal after my overdrive, one to the amp and the other to an amp/cab sim for when I have to DI. Real keen by the way, just need to get it as small as p...

Re: Your lastest musical-instrument acquisitions/cost

My main nigga Damo just gave me his Epi Thunderbird because he didn't want it. Needs some new bridge saddles (might retrofit it with a Hipshot SuperTone bridge, I heard the Gibson/Epiphone 3-point bridges are a bit shitty) and a strap button but otherwise it's all good. Just got one of those Hipsho...

Can anyone recommend somewhere selling Evans/Remo heads with good shipping prices?

Not a heap on ebay and most of the shipping charges double if you want two heads.

Re: Bass cab advice

Luckily I was using my VT Bass/micro GK setup, VT is a speaker sim so there wasn't too much fizz. Duct tape over the horn would have been my "fix" if I had been using my Orange.

Man I hate horns.
