I just can't get upset about whatever music someone wants to play anymore. Sure Justin Bieber is fucking awful, but who gives a fuck? Just don't listen to him. And yeah most of Crass's stuff is pretty fucking unlistenable too. Rimbaud was a hippy from way back.

Surely it's not difficult to avoid listening to anarcho-punk music and having your gears ground by it? I mean, I find it quite easy not to listen to Justin Bieber.

What do you guys think of the anti-vivisection thing now? Just wondering. Obviously torturing animals just to prove that your brand of eyeshadow is safe is not cool, but I question the "scientific fraud" thing, which reeks of conspiracy theory to me. It's true that different animals react ...

Re: What are you listening to -right now
"heavy metal" was an obscure rock critic's term in the 70s, the bands just called it "rock n roll" ("hard rock" if pressed). The hardest/heaviest were Black Sabbath, obviously there was Led Zep, but BOC were a part of that too. Fuck it I'm not even sure what my point is...

Cause it's super rebellious to spend $180 on a few old records. Why don't you go to yard sales and church sales? I picked up Prince Buster's "One Step Beyond / Al Capone" for 50p when I was in UK.

Not a guilty pleasure because of Frida (she's cool and always has been), nor for the song (Russ Ballard from Argent is a good songwriter) but because of Phil fucking Collins.

https://i.imgur.com/5ESKf4F.jpg Revisited the original Logan's Run movie (they've been threatening to remake it for years now). It actually hasn't aged too badly. A misconception about science fiction is that it attempts to predict the future; actually it's more of a commentary on the era in which ...

Amazing that this was written in 1984, when transgender people were mostly hated or mocked. I guess Westerberg knew a few transgender people and when they got in relationships he thought "ok, that's cool". https://youtu.be/f8J9WssSj7Q Also enjoy Joan's version, especially the video of her ...
